Concretes on off-grade raw material

Crushed stone: low strength, high abrasion, a significant mass of the flake particles and weak grains, low frost resistance, presence of clay inclusions, inconsistencies of mineralogical composition

Sand: low content of siliceous components (quartz), large number of weak detrital particles and associated rocks, clay impurity phases, presence of hydration active minerals

The proposed technology of mechanochemical processing of cement is alternative to the use of additives of silica fume (waste of steel production) and various chemical additives added to the concrete mix to produce high-performance concrete.

Traditional Portland cement when exposed to air after 30 days of storage reduces the activity by 7-10% under specific surface area of 2800-3400 cm2/g.
