Moscow Institute of Material Science and Efficient Technologies International

Moscow Institute of Material Science and Efficient Technology was created by prof. Marcel Y. Bickbau in 1988 and is accredited by the Ministry of Science of the Russian Federation.


Over the past 15 years, the institute created dozens of new and innovative environmentally friendly, efficient materials and products for construction industry.


The main focus of the institute is devoted to the issues of chemistry of silicates of calcium and other minerals, nanocement. Using theoretical developments in the field of physical chemistry, a number of advanced technologies for the production of environmentally friendly building materials such as nanocement and others were developed. These include a new generation of technology binders (which are the basis for high-strength and ultra-strong concrete) super filled plastics, wood materials without phenolic resins, pigments and other shell.


Particularly valuable are the latest developments of the Institute: nanocement technology for production incorporating recycling of toxic ash, slag and other products of industrial waste as a substitute of the clinker portion of cement production. 


New technology allows reducing fuel consumption as well as CO2, NOX and SO2 emissions down to 1/3, thus creating a brand new strategy for the development of the overall cement industry. 


The Institute achievements are utilized in Moscow and other Russian regions, also in China, India and United Arab Emirates. The most valuable of them are protected by more than 70 Russian and foreign patents.


In recent years, the Institute is also engaged in the construction of various facilities (residential and industrial) using the new construction technologies.


The Institute is certified and meets international quality standards.
